Purely Political Consulting, founded by Mike Fourcher, is a Chicago-based Democratic consulting firm with experience from the Midwest to the East Coast to California and in rural, suburban and urban settings. We provide electronic communications and strategic assistance to organizations and candidates from the top to the bottom of the ballot.

Mike Fourcher, Founder

Mike has raised millions of dollars and managed successful campaigns for state and local candidates in Illinois, built a dozen political websites, served as staff to California Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez on Capitol Hill and served in the in Clinton Administration on the personal staff of then-Energy Secretary Bill Richardson. Mike also served as Deputy field director for Clinton/Gore ’96 in Pennsylvania and was a Field Manager in Wausau and LaCrosse, Wisconsin for Gore/Lieberman 2000.

Mike also built one of the first national lobbying firm websites for Podesta Associates in 1995 and soon thereafter one of the first Congressional websites for Cong. Loretta Sanchez (D-CA). More recently Mike has developed electronic communications strategies for Toni Preckwinkle for Cook County Board President, Ed Smith for Cook County Recorder of Deeds and Julie Hamos for Congress as well as developed Chicago’s first political encyclopedia, Cloutwiki.org, and RudyGiulianiMarriedHisCousin.com a factual site that garnered over 40,000 visits on its first day.

Mike Fourcher is a Chicago native, holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, was a founding member of ClintonGoreAlumni.org, was one of the first writers for Chicagoist.com, a Chicago-focused site with over 35,000 daily visits and in June 2009 hosted the Chicago Media Future Conference.
